Denver June Events
The weather in Denver averages a high of 81 degrees throughout the month of June and is one of the best times of year to get outside and enjoy some of the numerous activities the Mile High City has to offer. A common misconception about Colorado is that it is always cold and cloudy. On the contrary, Denver and the entire state of Colorado, averages 300 days of sunshine per year. 300!! With that kind of sun, make sure to wear sunglasses and apply sunscreen when visiting. - Denver Chalk Art Festival– To start off the month, from June 1st-June 2nd Denver’s Larimer Square will be covered in chalk. Over 200 artists gather to decorate the streets of Larimer Square with bright colors and spirits.
- Capitol Hill People’s Fair– Also kicking off the start to June is the Capitol Hill People’s Fair. Taking place June 1st and 2nd, the fair will play host to all kinds of live music, events, and great food. The People’s Fair is a celebration of Denver’s unique and diverse urban community offering a taste of numerous cultures.
- National Get Outdoors Day– Taking place on June 8th at City Park in downtown Denver, National Get Outdoors Day is a great way to meet others who love the outdoors and to encourage healthy, active lifestyles. Come learn about all the ways you can enjoy the outdoors this summer.
- Cherry Blossom Festival– June 22nd and 23rd, The Cherry Blossom Festival is a celebration of Japanese-American culture, food, music, and dance. Located on Lawrence Street between 19th and 20th, this event is free to the public some come enjoy some festive dance and delicious food.
