Family Zip Line Tours

Looking for a unique family activity while you’re in Colorado?  One of the great things about zip lining is that it can be done by a wide range of ages and ability level.  No previous experience is required, and our Idaho Springs mountaintop zipline course just requires a short and easy 5-10 minute walk to get to the course.  Once you are on the course, you will need occasionally climb down stairs or follow a short path to the next zip, but there is very little exertion.  This means family ziplining is great for families that may have children or grandparents who want to participate.

Zipline with KidsOur course has a minimum weight of 50 lbs, so very young children may have to wait a few years before they can participate, however older children (typically age 7+) are more than welcome and will have fantastic time!

When looking at your family’s ability to do a family zipline adventure, the most important factor is the ability to brake yourself.  We want our course to have a participatory component, so we do require that you brake as you approach the landing.  Our friendly guides will explain the braking process before taking you onto the course.

Mountaintop ziplining is the perfect chance to show the kids something new on your Colorado vacation.  If you’re planning a family reunion, invite the in-laws or see if Grandma and Grandpa would like to accompany the grandkids.  Everyone will have plenty of time to enjoy each other’s company and take in the surrounding views between zips, making it the perfect family bonding experience.

Zip line family toursAt the end of the trip, take home photos of your ziplining adventure that you can cherish for years to come.

Our Idaho Springs zipline course is just 30 minutes from Denver and just 45 minutes from Summit County and Winter Park, so you’ll be able to fit a family zip line tour into your busy weekend schedule or a full vacation.  And because the tours last 2 to 2.5 hours, you’ll be able to explore the town of Idaho Springs, drive up 14,000 foot Mt. Evans or try out some other great activities like whitewater rafting and ATV tours.  Don’t miss out on the ultimate family adventure!
