Denver is holding the 35th anniversary of the Great American Beer Festival on October 6-8th. It all started in 1982 with only 24 breweries, 47 beers and about 800 attendees. This year it is expected to have more than 800 breweries, 3,800 or more beers and about 60,000 attendees. This event is voted top festival in the country! Here are some more reasons of why you should not miss out on the Great American Beer Festival.

GABFWhy: This is the premier U.S. beer festival and competition. The Great American Beer Festival represents the largest collection of the U.S. beer ever to be served for a public tasting event. What is really neat about this event is that it brings all of the best brewers and beers together. With the GABF being listed as one of the top events to experience in your lifetime, you need to mark these dates in your calendar and make it happen!

Prices/Schedule: The event starts on Thursday, October 6th from 5:30-10:00pm. Prices for the first night are $80. Then on Friday, October 7th it kicks off at 5:30-10pm again. Saturday, October 8th is a little bit different in the afternoon, as it is for Members Only for $65! Saturday’s events run from 12:00pm-4:00pm and then the festival opens for general admission from 5:30pm-10:00pm. If you are a member then prices are a little bit less expensive.

What’s Included: Your purchase of an admissions ticket includes a festival program, a commemorative tasting cup and unlimited one-ounce samples of your choice of more than 3,500 beers! Spend the day tasting mouth watering beers that are brewed by professionals, Make sure to bring your ID!

What’s New This Year: You could be the lucky person chosen to have a special private tasting tour. Thirty minutes before the doors open to the public, those people will get a chance to talk and taste some of the best known craft beers and brewers around. There will also be games offered throughout the festival location. You can expect free games like cornhole, kamjam and great music. Last but not least, they are carrying on the tradition with meet the brewer. This is a great opportunity to get out there, taste your favorite beers and speak with brewer. Enjoy!
