The hot springs of Colorado are a must-do after a long day rafting on the river, hiking a 14er or just a long week in the office. No matter where you are in the state, you are sure to be close to one of Colorado’s beautiful hot springs. Here are our top 5 favorite Colorado hot springs.

1. Strawberry Park Hot Springs, Steamboat Springs
   Located just outside of beautiful Steamboat Springs, the Strawberry Park Hot Springs is among the most popular destinations of locals and visitors alike. The Strawberry Park Hot Springs is not simply a hot spring; it is also home to various lodging options, including a train caboose, covered wagon, cabins and more, massages, changing rooms, picnic areas and more! Pricing starts at $15 for adults and $8 for youth ages 3-17. Children under 3 years old enter free of charge. The hot springs are cash or check only, so plan accordingly!
2. Radium Hot Springs, Radium
   What’s amazing about the Radium Hot Springs is its riverside location. You could pull over from a Colorado River Float trip and hop right into the hot springs! If you are not planning to float the Colorado, the hot springs can be reached via a 20 minute hike from Mugrage Campground. This natural hot spring is also completely free! The best time to visit the Radium hot springs is between summer and fall, as the high water levels of spring tend to wash it out.
3. Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, Nathrop
   Nestled between the towns of Salida and Buena Vista, the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs of Nathrop are surrounded by beautiful 14er peaks, numerous exciting activities and an incredible resort. The resort includes various lodging options, 5 dining options, a spa, yoga & fitness and, of course, the hot springs. The hot springs includes the historic bath house, the Chalk Creek hot springs and the upper pools with water slides. Its close proximity to Monarch Mountain and Ski Cooper makes it the perfect aprés ski hot spot, or stop by after a fun filled day on the Arkansas River! Prices start at $18 for adults 16+ and $12 for children ages 4-12. Children 3 and below are free!
4. Indian Hot Springs, Idaho Springs
   Just 30 minutes from downtown Denver, the Indian Hot Springs are great for a short getaway or a day-trip stop after a zipline tour in Idaho Springs. The Indian Hot Springs boasts geo-thermal caves, private baths, outdoor Jacuzzis and a mineral water pool. There are also lodging options that range from campsites to resort rooms. You can also get the Maize Salt Glo Treatment, a massage and exfoliation with corn maize, magnesium and castor oil from the spa! Admission starts at $17, and children under 5 are free!
5. Penny Hot Springs, Carbondale
   The Penny Hot Springs of Carbondale are located riverside, much like the Radium Hot Springs. The Crystal River is home to this small, hike-to hot springs. These secluded, free hot springs are a big change from many of the resort hot springs located throughout the state. To find it, just pull off to a large parking lot on the east side of Highway 133, a few hundred feet north of mile marker 55.
