Summertime Brews: Best Seasonal Colorado Summer Beers

Dale's Pale Ale

With summer right around the corner there are plenty of activities to keep yourself busy. Whether you are spending the day rafting, zip lining, mountain biking, or climbing, it’s always nice to relax at the end of the day and crack open a cold brew. It’s no secret that Colorado is home to an incredible amount of breweries, and it can be hard to narrow down some of the best beers around the state. No worries, we are here to help narrow down the best choices for seasonal Colorado summertime beers!

The first beer to put on your list for summertime sipping is Dale’s Pale Ale with 6.5% ABV. Oskar Blues Brewery out of Longmont realized bottles can be a hassle when you’re outside, so they decided to put this guy in a can. Brewed with European malts and four different hops, this is a great bitter Pale Ale.

Renegade Brewing

The second beer to try is the 5:00 O’Clock Afternoon Ale from Renegade Brewing Company with an ABV of 5.0%. As the name suggests, this is a perfect beer to have at the end of the workday on those warm summer evenings. Renegade likes to call this one of their “afternoon ales”. This brew is not too bitter but still has a lot of flavors. This a great sipping beer while sitting on the porch looking at the mountains and taking in all the beautiful scenery.

The last must-try beer to get your hands on is the Drumroll from Odell Brewing Company out of Fort Collins with an ABV of 5.3%. This unfiltered American Pale Ale offers fruity and citrusy tastes that are perfect for the warmer Colorado summertime temperatures. With hints of pineapple, orange, mango, and grapefruit, this beer is definitely original. The mix of the fruit tastes comes from all of the different hop types used and not from any fruit or juice additions.

If you know any other beers to try this summer, let us know and keep us in mind next time you’re looking to go ziplining!

Cheers!
