Red Rocks Amphitheater

The Denver Botanical Gardens

The museum is a literal living exhibit, where exotic plants flourish over 24 acres. Every single one of these plants, from seed, to flowering, is monitored to get 100% accuracy of the plants life cycle. Besides plant life, there is numerous art galleries. Everything from sculptures, to paintings can be seen here. With this museum having such an abundance of activities to do, it might be hard to see everything you came for. Catch a Broncos Game

For the sports fans, Mile High Stadium is one of the most renowned stadiums around. Sitting at an elevation of 5,280 feet, Mile High is one of the most internationally recognized sports stadiums. The stadium opened up in August 11, 2001, and can accommodate 76,125 fans on five levels of seating. The Denver Broncos, who have won the Super Bowl three times, calls this place their home during the fall season.

The Wild Animal Sanctuary

Established in 1980, The Wild Animal Sanctuary is the oldest and largest nonprofit Sanctuary in the world. Covering an area of 720 aces, it is home to more than 30,000 large carnivores. Sheltering more than 450 lions, tigers, bears, leopards, mountain lions, wolves and other large carnivores, it is the first sanctuary of its kind to create large acreage species-specific habitats for rescued animals. The three main points of their mission are:

  1. Rescue captive large carnivores who have been abused, abandoned, illegally kept or exploited
  2. Create for them a wonderful life for as long as they live
  3. Educate about the causes and solutions to the Captive Wildlife Crisis
