Summer is not over yet in Summit County! Enjoy one more holiday weekend in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Whether your favorite activity is mountain biking, hiking, listening to live music, rafting, horseback riding or simply enjoying a nice meal on a sunny deck and shopping, there is something for everyone.
As always, Breckenridge will host several activities this weekend including the final weekend of the Breckenridge PRCA Pro Rodeo and the 26th Annual Summit Foundation Rubber Duck Race. These events are sure to excite. Don’t forget about the plethora of outdoor activities there are to find in this beautiful Colorado setting. On top of all the activities going on, you are sure to find a hansom deal on hotels and dining this holiday weekend. Check out some of the other happenings going on in Summit over Labor Day:
- AVA Rafting – There is still plenty of exciting kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, rafting and ziplining to be had. For those who are serious about rafting give the legendary Gore Canyon a try. This is a true class V trip that will surely leave a lasting impression!
- DOGS! – Are you a dog owner, or just love other people’s dogs? Then head over to the Dillon Marina for its annual mutt show. While there, rent a pontoon boat to explore the beautiful lake or relax on the water taxi that will transport you to and from the Frisco Marina to the Dillon Marina (dogs and bikes are welcome!).
- Looking for Music? – Head over to Copper Mountain for its “Copper Country” music weekend. A true tradition at Copper featuring a fine arts exhibit and free live music by Kenny Rogers, Savannah Jack, SHEL and more.
- The Taste of Keystone – Another Summit tradition is a “Taste of Keystone” at the Lakeside Village. Come enjoy the variety of cuisine from some of Keystone’s finest chefs in town!
