It’s summer in the Mountains, so you know what that means. It’s time for summer ziplining! It is a great way to enjoy the outdoors of Colorado, while transitioning out of the ski season. This is a great way to enjoy Colorado’s mountain scenery from a totally different perspective. Now another question you might have is going to be which ziplines are the best in the state, well this list will have you covered with the top 5 ziplines in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.

1. The Cloudscraper Zipline in Canon City, CO

In Canon City there lies the home of the Royal Gorge. The gorge features granite cliffs 965 feet above the Arkansas River and an awesome suspension bridge accessible by foot. The Cloudscraper zipline is 2,400ft in length and is 1,200ft high. If you are even more adventurous be sure to try out the Royal Rush Skycoaster that has speeds of 50 mph and for those that are less adventurous, but would still love to see the Royal Gorge from a spectacular view the gondola will be the best choice.

2. The Top of the Rockies Zipline in Leadville

This is a super unique spot for ziplining as it is the only zipline that crosses over a running train. It is a high elevation zipline so you are guaranteed fantastic views of Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive. What also makes this zipline unique is that it also runs during the winter months as well. The also provide boots and coveralls if you forgot to dress warm.

3. The Castle Rock Zipline

This zipline adventure has 10 lines of fun and riders can get up to 50 MPH. At the end of the zip you can challenge your friends to the 1,500 ft dual racing zip line or you can test your balance on the sky trek and adventure tower. There’s also an adventure park here full of aerial challenges and a Ninja Warrior course!

4. AVA Rafting and Zipline

With locations in Buena Vista and Idaho Springs offers two great options for adventurers. For those of you tat find yourself in the Denver area the Idaho Locations is going to be the best choice for you. It has 6 lines through the tree and cliffs that vary in length and then am awesome finish by crossing over the Clear Creek for an exhilarating finish. The Buena Vista zipline is integrated into the wooded and craggy of our mountainous property. There will be great views of the snowcapped mountains and the Arkansas river as you zip from cliff to cliff between Aspen and Pine trees.

5. Soaring Tree Top Adventures

is a massive zipline course Near Durango which offers incredible views of the San Juan Mountains. This zipline has 27 lines and is known as the longest zipline course in the country, so be sure to expect a full day of fun during this zipline tour.
