Looking for a great team building activity? Looking to get out of the office, and take in some beautiful scenery and spend some time in the Colorado sun? Then ziplining is the perfect activity for you. What’s a better way to bond with your co-workers then to watch them fly off a raised platform along a 100 foot zip line? Encourage the more timid ones to face their fears and enjoy flying through the forest and across mountain ridges.
Here at Arkansas Valley Adventures we offer two diverse zipline courses in Colorado. Our first course was established in 2011 just past our Granite Outpost. This seven line course offers amazing views of the Arkansas River. Specifically, the Pine Creek section of the Arkansas which is the Arkansas’ most difficult Class V whitewater section. The lines on our Buena Vista course range from 100 feet long to our longest line which stretches over 1000 feet. Our talented zip guides await to break and slow you down at the end of every line.
Our Idaho Springs Zip Course debuted in the summer of 2012. Many guests confuse it with the generic course that goes along the East side of 1-70. But fear not, our course is much more scenic and exciting. Our course looks out over the historic mining town of Idaho Springs and zig-zags down along the cliffs of Highway 103 and drops you back at our Idaho Springs outpost. This course has six lines with lengths ranging from less than 100 feet to 300 feet. This course is more compact and you zip back and forth down the mountainside. The views of Idaho Springs are great and give you a cool perspective. Five of the lines on this course encompass hand breaking. Meaning our guides may asked you to glide a gloved hand behind you on the line, to slow yourself down.
