Summertime in Denver is chalked full of fun activities, events, and festivals. Located just west of Denver is the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre which hosts a wide variety of musical concerts throughout the month of July. Barry Manilow, Brandi Carlile, the String Cheese Incident, the Avett Brothers and John Mayer are just some of the names that will be taking the stage at this beautiful outdoor amphitheater. Red Rocks is also host to “Film on the Rocks” which shows such films as Point Break, Die Hard and Hunger Games in July.

Travelling east from Red Rocks lies the capital city of Denver. The weekends are popular times for visitors and locals to participate in many exciting festivals. Some of these festivals include the Colorado Irish Festival taking place July 13, the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival the weekend of July 28, and the Colorado Renaissance Festival which takes place every Saturday and Sunday just south of Denver. The Renaissance Festival runs rain or shine from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm with tickets for adults just under $20 and tickets for children around $9.00.
