How a package works
A. First Activity
Experience the best of Colorado’s water and land in this full-day adventure package. As the outpost fades away below, you will ride up to our zipline course, soaring between the trees on our unique ziplines built directly into the mountainside. Your guide will explain all aspects of your zipline adventure before letting you zip through the trees across multiple lines of adventure! Our courses allow you to experience the Rocky Mountains from up high, reaping a unique vantage point of the Arkansas River Valley or Idaho Springs.

After your first activity, your group will break for lunch. Depending on your trip, lunch will be provided by AVA, you may pack a lunch, or visit a restaurant in town. Please check your individual trip description for more details. Your guide will communicate with you regarding timing and where to meet for your next adventure. Some specific trips also offer an express option, allowing guests to skip a lunch break and head straight into the next adventure.

After lunch, you will regroup with your guide to gear up for your next exciting Colorado adventure. From family-friendly trips to intense class IV or V whitewater, your group will hit the water on one of Colorado’s best rivers. Under the direction of our experienced guides, your group will spend the afternoon on the water, taking in the area’s majestic scenery and navigating the river’s most exciting rapids. Feel the spray on your skin and the sun in your hair, as you dip in and out of the current on one of Colorado’s most unique adventure experiences.
We offer rafting and zipline packages at both our Buena Vista and Idaho Springs outposts.

What to know about Raft + Zip Line Adventure
Best of Colorado
No matter where your Colorado vacation takes you, you’ll be able to experience the best of Colorado’s outdoors. From our Buena Vista outpost, raft the pristine Arkansas River, and zipline high above the Arkansas River Valley with views of the Collegiate Peaks Mountain Range the entire way. Although closer to Denver, Idaho Springs and its scenery will also not disappoint. Raft down Clear Creek, taking in the former mining valley and the town of Idaho Springs, with the Colorado Rockies on either side. Your Idaho Springs zipline adventure takes you up and into the cliffside, with even more stellar views of the surrounding town and Clear Creek.
Options for everyone
With choices from family-friendly rafting to advanced whitewater, both the Arkansas River and Clear Creek boast some of the best rafting in the state. Adrenaline junkies can choose a package boasting rafting on class IV or V rapids, while families will enjoy mellower rafting on class III rapids. Zipline adventures at both outposts are also family-friendly yet offer a boost of adrenaline as you soar between the trees. No matter the size of your party or ages in your group, AVA has a unique rafting and zipline adventure for you.

Because we want everyone to experience the best of Colorado’s outdoors, our multi-adventure packages are designed to be more affordable than booking separate trips. Multi-adventure packages also offer the convenience of more than one adventure at just one specific location, as well as experienced guides to help keep your day on track.

Rafting and zipline packages at our Buena Vista outpost are an opportunity to truly immerse yourself in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Raft the iconic Arkansas River and through Browns Canyon National Monument, then soar on our mountaintop zipline course high above the Arkansas River Valley. For those looking for an easy day trip from Denver, adventure packages at our Idaho Springs outpost will also not disappoint. Enjoy rafting on the Clear Creek with views of historic Idaho Springs and fly on our cliffside zipline tour right over Chicago Creek and into our outpost’s backyard.

FAQs
Our rafting and zipline packages allow you to conveniently participate in two adventures in just one day so you can experience the best of Colorado’s water and land. A package is more affordable than booking two separate trips and ensures your day is streamlined and filled with adventure!
When booking your chosen trip, the order of adventures will appear on the booking engine. This depends on location, trip time, and other factors and cannot be changed.
Both our Buena Vista and Idaho Springs outposts offer Rafting and Zipline packages. Choose to venture further into the mountains or stay closer to Denver. No matter which location you choose, you won’t be disappointed!
For the rafting portion of your adventure, please wear appropriate footwear: water shoes (or shoes you don’t mind getting wet) that will stay securely on your feet. We also suggest quick-drying clothing, sunscreen, and sunglasses attached with a strap. For your zipline trip, we require closed-toed shoes, as well as ask that you avoid any loose clothing, necklaces, or scarves.
