With multiple routes to choose from, your guide will lead your group on a climb tailored to accommodate all skill levels. This adventure not only promises an exhilarating experience but also offers the opportunity to refine your climbing skills and marvel at breathtaking Colorado vistas.

B. Meal

Following your initial adventure, replenish your energy with a well-deserved lunch break. Lunch will vary depending on your chosen trip; for certain excursions, AVA provides lunch, while for others, you may need to bring your own packed lunch. Please refer to your trip description for specific details. Your guide will also keep you updated on the schedule and meeting point for the day’s next activity!

C. Second Activity

After lunch, meet back with your guide and get ready for the next exciting portion of your Colorado outdoor adventure. As the outpost fades from view below, you’ll take a short ride up to our zipline course. Your guide will provide comprehensive instructions for your zipline adventure before sending you out to fly across six different ziplines! Our course offers a high-altitude perspective of the Rocky Mountains, providing a distinct vantage point of the Arkansas River Valley.

We offer ziplining and rock-climbing packages at our Buena Vista location.

Best of Colorado

Your rock-climbing adventure kicks off at our Buena Vista Outpost, where you will top rope climb the Granite Gorge Cliffs. As you ascend to lofty heights above the Arkansas River Valley, you will be rewarded with stunning vistas of the towering 14,000-foot Collegiate Peaks and the meandering Arkansas River below. The scenery on your zipline adventure will also not disappoint, as you again find yourself up high, amidst the Rocky Mountain treetops. Our zipline course is seamlessly integrated into the mountainside rather than built on platforms. This provides a unique way to truly immerse yourself in Colorado’s cliffsides and rock faces.

Not only is this experience an exhilarating outdoor activity with breathtaking Colorado panoramas, but an opportunity for novice climbers to develop skills in belaying, rappelling, and knot tying. Our zipline course is also ideal for all levels, with kids as young as 7 encouraged to participate. Your entire group will have fun zipping and laughing between the treetops on this six-line adventure course.

Did this 14 years ago and it was awesome. This time Unbelievable ! It is all about the guide. We probably sucked at paddling, but “stoke” made us feel we were great, had a good team, and rewarded us with attacking the challenge with fun. Worth every strike and amazing life experience. Thanks Stoke!

This was a great experience! This was my first time white water rafting and we did the 1/2 day Numbers trip. The trip honestly exceeded my expectations, as I was really nervous but ended up having a fantastic time! Our guide Chad was great and really knowledgeable about rafting and about the area. He was also really good about giving directions and keeping a calm and clear head.

I would really suggest this trip for anyone wanting a good rafting experience as you get a little bit of everything! The views from the river are great and you get to have both the adrenaline rush going down thr rapids and some smoother parts where we could look around and relax a little. We even jumped in the water to swim a little when we hit a really calm stretch of the river (the water was very very cold though!!).

They gave us all the gear we needed and a safety talk that really helped ease my nerves. I would definitely recommend AVA rafting for anyone, whether it's your first time rafting (like me) or experienced and have done this a number of times, this was definitely worth it!!
