Your Lodging Options

Cabins: AVA’s Buena Vista Outpost offers cabins on site, each sleeping four people. Set right along the creek, you’ll enjoy falling asleep to the sound of Colorado’s wilderness, while remaining cozy in our comfortable cabins. Our rustic cabins are each equipped with a private bathroom and shower, hardwood floors, a comfortable mattresses, and include a pillow and sleeping bag. You will also have access to picnic tables and charcoal grills on the site!

Campsites:
Eight campsites are also located at our 4-acre Buena Vista Outpost. Start your day with an incredible view of the Collegiate Peaks that tower above the Arkansas River Valley, then take in everything Colorado has to offer on one of AVA’s adventures. Each site can fit one large tent or two small tents, and come equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. You’ll have access to bonfire pits, charcoal grills, and a restroom at all hours of the day and night. Guests must provide their own camping gear or rent from AVA.

Explore the Great Outdoors

Both our cabins and campsites are located at our Buena Vista outpost, 12 miles north of Buena Vista and 19 miles south of Leadville. You can find our lodging options at the base of several towering 14,000 foot peaks, and both campsites and cabins are set along a creek with access to trail systems for even more adventure!

Not only can you spend time cooking, playing yard games and more, but our cabins offer access to walking and hiking trails, as well as the opportunity to splash in the creek! With your extra time, why not explore even more of Buena Vista’s outdoors with an additional rafting, ziplining, Via Ferrata, or Horseback riding adventure? Then relax in town, grab a bite to eat, or catch live music!

Packing & Pets

The cabins will be equipped with all essentials, including a sleeping bag and pillow. If you choose to stay at a campsite, please bring your own camping gear or rent from us. For both cabins and camping, you will need to bring charcoal and any food you would like to prepare, along with your personal belongings. Be sure to also check the packing list for your specific activity!

Our cabins and campsites are perfect for a family getaway including your furry family member. We welcome pets at our lodging options; however, we ask that you pay an additional pet fee. Our cabins sleep four, and for all lodging options, please check in by 3 pm.
