Why You Should Go Ziplining on Earth Day

Earth Day

via ferrata 3Earth Day, April 22nd, marks the anniversary of the birth of the environment movement in 1970. The idea for a day dedicated solely to the environment was sparked by founder Gaylord Nelson, a then U.S. Senator in Wisconsin. Nelson began formulating the idea for the day after witnessing the massive 1969 oil spill in Santa Barbara, California. Earth Day was able to achieve a rare political alignment, with support from both Democrats and Republicans, city slickers and farmers, and rich and poor.

In the spirit of Earth Day, make an extra effort to go outside and enjoy the outdoors. For some this may mean taking a walk on their lunch break, for others it means planning an epic weekend in the mountains.  If you find yourself in the Rocky Mountains on April 22nd, come spend a few hours with our staff in Idaho Springs and enjoy our one-of-a-kind aerial adventure, also known as our Cliffside Zipline Tour. We have six lines along with a free fall. In addition to our zip tour, we have several extra amenities such as our 50 Foot Free Fall, the Surf Zip, the Dual Race Line, the Jungle Bridge, and last, but not least, the Bridge of Doom!

Our half day has three start times for Earth Day 2016 – 9 am, noon, and 3 pm and typically lasts about two and a half hours. From the course, you have a beautiful view of downtown Idaho Springs and the majestic Chicago Creek. The Zip Truck will take you through historic downtown Idaho Springs to the start of the course, located just minutes away.

The multiple exciting drops with zooming lines through the treetops are sure to help remind you of the true meaning of Earth Day. Do not wait to book this amazing adventure! We are currently offering a buy one get one half off deal good through April 22nd. Bookings can be made through our website or with one of our adventure experts at 877-RAFTING._DSC9407
